Just a few non-apathetic musings about death and moving on. Indeed, death seems to be harder on the living than the dead, but if you think you have it difficult dealing with death, trying being an Atheist dealing with it.

I’ve actually met a few people who are arrogant or blind enough to tell me that God is done conforming them to image of Christ Jesus – that, right now, they are just as holy and loving as our Lord; that essentially they are sinless and don’t sin.

Of the many pleasures in this life for us to have, there is no sinful pleasure or choice that is worth spending eternity in Hell for. Indeed, just as Hell is a decision, so is Heaven a decision, and there is nothing in this life more important to fight for than eternal life with God – anything less would be Hell.

In the context of our present life, we have to make sure that we too are resolutely determined to become saints, because the saints are those in Heaven. To desire something less than sainthood is to desire eternity in Hell. We have to be committed to not letting any obstacle stand in our way of sainthood. We cannot allow the hate and machinations of people stand in our way of holiness. We cannot allow closed doors, closed ears, closed hearts, or closed minds prevent us from the goal of eternal life with God.
